A very old Sheffield razor, stamped 'Heaton' blade does have hone wear and a wavey bevel, which is to be expected with a razor of this age, pitting is also present,
The blade has been cleaned and polished, I do us a buffer, but I dont push a razor far, ie I like to remove as little steel as possible rather than going for a mirror finish, thats just my method.

Scales where made by myself for this razor, using camel bone hand sanded to just over 2mm in thickness, I have not buffed the scales just sanded to approx 1000 grit, brass washers on the inside, SS stacked on the outside, the wedge/spacer is is made from aircraft grade titanium and flanked with red polycarbonate plastic.

The razor was honed by myself and is a lovely shaver.
