Default Filarmonica Doble Temple 13 in Red Scales

Filarmonica Doble Temple 13 in Red Scales. $168 shipped to the US. Contact me first if you want to have it shipped to Canada please. I’ve had a few blades disappear aftrer being shipped to other places so now I only ship to US and Canada.

This Filly is 6/8 wide at the heel and the rest is wider at 13/16 ..and you’ll like those blazing red scales! I just keened it up using the Escher, CrOx, hard felt, and strop - then test shaved a few inches of my face and it's still a good shaver - almost decided to keep it. Cleaned it off and dried completely, so it's ready to go.

I bought this NOS about 8 years ago. Was in a rush maybe 4 years ago and didn’t fully dry it after a shave, so when I went to strop it again a few months later some staining on the gold wash on the blade had magically appeared. Lightly sanded the stains and managed to save the etching. Any stains remaining are visible in photos. There are some small ones on the etching as mentioned and one on the backside at the top. I'd sand both away but didn't want to lose the etching or blade geometry. If you want, you can remove both yourself but will probably lose the etching… but it’ll still stand out in your shaving box with those red scales!

I dropped the price for my screwup and then moved it back up a bit for the scales (the scales are why I bought this one). It's been sitting in my rotation for years but never seems to make it to my face anymore because of the number I restore and test shave. My rule is "if I don't use it for a year it's gone" - OK on this one I cheated for a while but here she is.

The pics tell the story - sorry about any lint, my crappy photography, or some grease on my hands that I managed to let get onto the blade during the photos. One picture has lint on the bevel - it’s just lint and not a crack or imperfection.

Care and Feeding: This one’s easy - I use 1 layer of electrical tape on all blades I sharlen so you or your honemeister will want to know that. Otherwise, not much to tell, it takes a good edge and keeps it for a good while. Mainly just try to keep it dry after use - unlike me.

PRICE DROP - $127. Still learning appropriate price points here. Seems I listed this one too high so I'm dropping it. Again, contact me first if you want it sent to Canada so we can see if anything additional is required.
