Some time ago I did some experimenting with different carbon steels and heat treatment methods to see which one would be better at producing a hamon.
This is a blade that did not turn out the way I want. The HT is good and the shave is good. But I don't like the aesthetics.

Firstly the hamon isn't really showing well. You can sorta see it, but not something to elicit a wow.
And when I was making this razor I also noticed I made a forging oopsie which meant that the shoulder on the front side didn't clean up like it should. This is not a functional problem but it doesn't look right.
Still I like to finish everything I start so here we are.

This blade has a hamon but you cannot really see it well on the pics.
The blade is 9/8 in width, and pretty hollow. Half hollow to 3/4 hollow I'd say.
The length is 3.25" which is quite long.

If you want to try a big blade in your rotation and don't mind the imperfection, this will serve nicely.
The price is 350 USD (FF via paypal) shipped worldwide.
