Thread: Ken Powell Custom Razor - 10/8ths

For sale is my custom made Ken Powell razor I had ordered nearly 8 years ago.

This was a razor I had made for me when I first started wet shaving and I got excessively overambitious in my specs for the razor and sadly it turned out way too big (my fault, not Ken's). As such, I used it only a handful of times and it's been sitting in storage for all these years.

The blade is at 10/8th's width and the cutting surface is 3.75" inches long with a slight smile and a French tip. The spine is 1/4" thick and the grind is half hollow. The total length of the blade is 7.75" long.

The scales are made of titanium and inlayed with elk horn while the wedge is aluminum. Sadly, they are part of the reason why I found the razor to be unusable as they are too big and weigh too much. As such, I believe anyone who purchases this razor is better off getting a new set of scales. I did remove the scales and found the razor to be much more friendly, but I elected to post it for sale anyways.

The blade is in excellent condition, near mirror finish, and has substantial jimps in the tang for grip. An excellent razor for someone who likes larger blades.
