Default Charles Macdaniel 7/8 - shave ready

    Charles Macdaniel - shave ready.

The blade measures 21.8mm which makes it 7/8 in size.

The grind to my eye looks to be a near wedge.

Scales look to be original and are ivory. Even the wedge on the scales is ivory. The scales do have some age mottling to them but there are no cracks or chips.

Charles Macdaniel was a cutler in Oxford street, London from 1814 to 1854.

He retired in 1854 and died in 1855.

I'd date this razor to around 1830-1850.

The razor honed on a progression of Shapton Ceramic Pro stones (1k, 2k, 5k, 8k and 12k).

Price is $125 which includes tracked and insured internal postage to anywhere in the world

    Paypal only please.
