Thanked: 0Introduction and some advise
Hi all,
I made a few posts in the past, but they were deleted since I violated some rules. I was pretty upset when I made the posts, so my apologies to the administrators.
I have been shaving with a straight razor for a little over a year now. For a person who really hated shaving, I've come to look forward to shaving now. I work evenings, so I have the time in the mornings to go thru my rituals of straight shaving.
Over the past year I've spent some nice coin on my new hobby, kind of ironic since one of the reasons I started was to save money by not buying disposable razors anymore.
I have made many purchases from different vendors, Lynn included and I have received the services I expected. After butchering my first strop, I recently bought a strop from Tony Miller, and couldn't be happier with the service and product.
He is my problem, I made a purchase from a vendor in Europe. Without going in to details, I was lied to, and refused my payment back after I returned the item.
I filed a dispute to PayPal, but lost. I am not disputing with my credit card company.
At this point it's not about the money, (it is to a degree) but how this man lied and deceived me. If this happened in the US, I would know how I could warn people about this vendor, and where I could file a complaint to. I can't say what country this vendor is in for I might get deleted again. All I can say he is in Europe.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as where to file a complaint, such as BBB or a website that I could tell of my experience to. Thanks in advance.

There are all kinds of sites out there where people go to vent about bad buying experiences for a multitude of reasons. This is not one of them. It is wise of you to go no further here.
Personally, when I buy I use vendors who have solid gold reputations and a long long track record of customer satisfaction. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 0Thanks for the response bidspendur. Sorry you took my post as venting. Like I stated this vendor is in Europe. If he was in the US I would know how to proceed. I'm just looking for someone to point me in the right direction.

Thanked: 4821I have had a similar issue that has gone unresolved for some time. Sometimes we have to just chalk it up to a lesson learned. I'd like to get my money back too. Maybe some day I will. I'm somewhat sorry for being so trusting. Caution there are bad transaction that take place on the net!

Thanked: 284I would think most of the knowledge on this site concerns straight razors. May have better luck to Google something like "reporting businesses in (insert country here)".
Also, in my experience, letting your actual credit card company know you were cheated, and not Paypal, has been very powerful. In most cases they will credit you the amount of the charge. That's their money well spent to insure the public keeps using credit cards without fear of just what you're describing.I love living in the past...

Thanked: 0I know how you feel RezDog, sometimes I can't decide who I am more angry with, myself for being so trusting, or the vendor, for his lies and deceit. If you don't mind could you pm me and tell me the name of the vendor. If it is the same vendor, maybe we should somehow tell our story so others do not get taken advantage of like us.
