Just bought. Wondering if restorable.

Wondering if the pitting would be repairable. From pics it don't look too bad. And for $25 it was worth a try.

I'm gonna use it for practicing my stropping technique and in a bit work on honing it.

Meleii, this razor looks to me in very good condition i dont really see any pitting, a good cleaning and honing on this blade will bring this razor back to life, Enjoy!

Thank you I was just a little bit uneasy about it because there are no makers marks on it. I haven't seen any without one yet. Well all I can do is wait and give it a shot.

I think its a good quality razor for sure, probably from a reputable Solingen maker made for another company or distributor.

I think you made a good buy and as martin said a quality razor. I'd be careful polishing it up as the 'damascus' pattern might fade as you clean it up, depending on what you do to it.

so much so, that I will hone it for free, not even sure if you need a honing or not, but the offer is there...

That is a most beautiful razor you have there. I haven't seen one like it before either, as the others said, take care with the polishing of that razor.
+1 with what Martin said, I can't see any either, perhaps the seller mistook the Damascus pattern for pitting?

Your concern regarding makers mark, whilst it is true that you could get an absolute crummy razor with no makers mark, you can also get a peach.
Some razors just don't have makers stamps on them for many reasons.

I'm wondering the same thing. It's only on the face of the blade and just looks like an acid etch to me?
