read an article on this name brand razor and saw this one on ebay. it was not cleaned up I bid on it low. got it. I knew when I cleaned it that the gold wash would go. even so it cleaned up ok. after clean up I honed it and waiting on the face to grow something. hope it turns out ok.Attachment 146213Name: DSC_0006.jpg

First attachment did not show up.

It is against forum policies to do valuations so you are going to get answers like if you think it was worth it than you got a good deal.

Razor looks like it cleaned up nicely (Good job)

Now grow some whiskers and post how that puppy shaves!

That looks like a good razor to learn honing on. It wasn't a lot of money, it is a good brand, it doesn't appear to have any geometry issue. I am actually going out on a bit of a limb presuming that you are learning honing based on your join date. Nice razor.

your not really out on a limb. I've honed knives , axes, even cross cut saws but never any razors before joining the straight razor place. still trying to learn. still watching lynn on his videos. they help a lot. I was lucky with this one and it did hone up good. thanks everyone

Nice looking razor, glad you had success with the clean up and honing.
