Personally, I prefer the Feather for the quality and ease of shave it offers. Sharpness is not an issue once you learn how to handle it, it actually gives me less irritation than a conventional straight because I don't have to "hack away" at my chin to get it smooth. I have chin whiskers that even take several passes with a Feather blade to get smooth (and even that sometimes gets hung up on them) and I find that with a read straight, I just can't get it clean. Even with a pro-honed blade. I have chin whiskers of steel.

I do love the traditional aspect of a conventional straight and everything that goes along with it. It upsets me every day that I just can't match the shave a Feather gives.
