Another 8/8 + palmera, because you almost never see them for sale and they are fantastic shavers if you like extreame bellied hollows.
This one. Oh wait, I already own it.
I wanted a 6/8 French point in damascus steel, wrapped in Mammoth ivory scales that had my initials etched into them. It was a special present to myself for a tough year at work. Gabor Buddel nailed exactly what I wanted. I'm going to be burried with this razor.

This is SO hard to say since some of my best shaving razors were ones I wouldn't have thought would be so good. If money is of no concern and you want new, I'd suggest a 7/8 half hollow TI (preferably the Dominator, French point). If it's vintage you're after, the sky's the limit. Take your pick from extra hollow ground to wedge, 4/8 to 8/8, round tip, square tip, barber notch. My Wade and Butcher FBU wedge is one purchase I'd be happy to do again if it was to be done all over with. An extraordinary shaver and it takes a great edge. If I were going for a custom, I'd probably contact Max as his work is quite appealing.
9/8, smiling, Charlie Lewis fixed blade.
Yes. Not a great picture but that's mammoth ivory.
I would like to try a 7/8 Mastro Livi Spanish point in stainless. Stainless because for that cost, I want no risk of spotting or rust staring in the face with every shave. It is hard to bite because for that cost, I also want the best sharpening, best shaving, and most comfortable razor ever. Like many here, I have and have tried many razors and the ones that work best for me could not have been predicted in advance. Too bad there can not be a travelling box containing the best examples of custom and factory straights. We could then try them all and spend with confidence.
Zowada damascus with mammoth scales.
First of all, johnmrson, WOW! What a blade.
From what I've read and seen, I have to say the Mastro Livi experience would be my first choice. This might be cheating, but I'd choose to make my way overseas, meet the Mastro, see the blade being made (Damascus of course), and inform every aspect of its creation. That is the dream.
