Tang is stamped with "For use. Warranted." I believe it to have been made between 1800 and early 1830s.
Heavy wedge.
The toe is 6/8 and the heel is 5/8. I really like how unique the blade looks.
Scales are horn. They look to be the original ones, as they're straight and have a lead wedge.
There is some deep pitting, but none of it is close to the age. But it's not as if you can be (almost) as old as Abraham Lincoln without having a few scars.
I may have over-paid for this razor, but I don't really care. I really like everything about it, especially the history. The only thing I dislike, is that I had originally planned to get an old english razor and scale it in bamboo. I'm half chinese and half english, and so I wanted a razor that shared that combination, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to bring myself to have this razor rescaled.
