Just wondering how I should ship my razor to be honed. I have some bubble wrap for it but I'm not sure if it should be in a box or a bubble envelope or what. How do you guys ship yours?

A smelly sock
Bubble wrap, put in a flat rate box.Envelopes are bad news.
Foam pipe insulation is great. 1/2 inch for up to 5/8 and 3/4 for larger works great. In a 9x12 manilla envelope rolled up. Never had a problem.
That's a great idea bill.
You can also get those plastic travel toothbrush holders from a Dollar Store...wrap the razor in tissue and put it in a bubble wrap envelope
Or you can cut an 8" section out of your kid's pool noodles & stick it inside the hole.

This razor is a family heirloom so I have to make 100% sure it makes it ok.
I've used a rubber band to securely keep the blade inside the scales and then wrap in bubble wrap and box it up. Most important though is to include a note with your contact info on it and what you would like the honer to do to your razor if more than honing is to be done. They stay pretty busy and your razor is not the only one in line to be honed. I made the mistake once with a heirloom razor, forgot to include the note but sent it up to Idaho like a red-headed stepchild that almost became an orphan. Luck was on my side and my heirloom razor found its way home in superb condition a few weeks later because of some extra leg work that had to be done that COULD'VE been avoided if I had included the note. :)
