Default Tim Zowada 7/8 Damascus Razor

Here is a pic of a TZ I got off of Ebay.
My friend Bill3123 honed it for me free of charge at our last
NY-NJ-CT Meet Up held March 02nd.

Access to great honers like Bill is an absolute bonus when attending a meet up. Not only are you saving money
since they perform the service for free at the meet up but you get to watch how its done.

I have used it for two days now and IMO TZ makes the absolute best damascus razor out there.
I own a ML and also a JC and this razor blows them out of the water!

You can catch Bill3123 and honemeister-Jnat Guru Nelson (Bayamontate) at our next meet up.
Both of these guys are Jnat masters. If synthetic stones is your thing then Michael (mjsorkin) is The man you want on your razor.

Very nice Sam. I saw Bill working on that blade and its a beautiful razor.

I shaved off of Bill's edge using synthetics up to his 20K Suehiro this morning and it was wonderful. I've got to learn how to get close to that on my own but I have work to do to get there.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the shave. One or two more meetups and you will certainly be a honemeister! LOL.

LOL is right. I am playing with a $4 gold dollar tonight and this honing gig is not so simple. I'm trying to duplicate what I saw on Sunday using my Naniwa 1K. Using much more pressure than I had previously I did get the TNT to really grab hard and then lost it trying to get it back after testing. I'll give it another go later tonight but I think I will need more one on one mentoring.
