    Default Bengals.

I have noticed that there are 2-3 different names on the Bengal razors at which I can't remember now.. which is the oldest and which is the most shoat after. I see them on the bay a lot and was just wondering which I should bid on and which I should let go by. My computer skills are not quite good enough to chase it down. anyone know off hand. thanks.

I may have lost my mind like I loose everything else but I just know I saw one on the bay that just said Bengal and one that said T R Cadman and Bengal and there was one that the name started with a B and for the life of me I can't remember the name. I picked up one off the bay a few days ago and it was a T R Cadman. at any rate I know that most folks like them. by the way that one is beautiful. Are those the scales it came with or were they an extra. either way it really nice.

Thanks! The razor came in black Bakelite. The carved bone scales are replacements.
    Here is some info!

There've been a LOT of Cadmans.

Not including the three other Cadman families who made things that weren't stamped Bengall, there were:

    • Luke Cadman (1695-1744)
    • Luke Cadman -- who registered the Bengall mark(1727-1788)
    • Luke Cadman (1754-1816)
    • Peter Cadman (1764-1817)
    • Hannah Cadman ne้ Staniland, Peter's wife (1773-1828)
    • Alfred Cadman (1802-1841)
    • Mary Cadman, Alfred's wife (1803-1877)
    • Peter Cadman (1829-1860)
    • Thomas Radly Cadman (1833-1917)
    • Thomas Radly Cadman Jr. (1859-1934)
    • Edwin Cadman (1867-1921)

ALL of whom ran the company at one point or another.
