New friend
After years of service, I was ready to give my 1970s vintage Henckels No 60 a break.
Enters an early 1900s (Antlers mark) Geneva Co. straight... What a beautiful piece of steel!
This is my first "American" razor and I am quite impressed to say the least.
My Henckels will need a new home if it wants to come out and play.

Glad you found another favorite, American steel is over looked a lot of times.
It runs right up there with the best of them in my book.
Cheers and happy shaving!

The Geneva will likely give you satisfaction but I would not recomend that you do not send the Henckels to a new home until you have thoroughly tested the Geneva.
The Henckels is, in my opinion, a better than average quality razor capable of giving a better than average shave.
I hope you have a lot of fun with the Geneva.

Indeed!
This blade does not seem to have seen much action in the last century.
Scales and pins look original are like new.
The Henckels is a very nice blade but, even after 30 years, I never really got attached to it.
In a way, I'd rather pass it on to someone who really desire one and would appreciate it quality.
