Thanked: 4New friend
After years of service, I was ready to give my 1970s vintage Henckels No 60 a break.
Enters an early 1900s (Antlers mark) Geneva Co. straight... What a beautiful piece of steel!
This is my first "American" razor and I am quite impressed to say the least.
My Henckels will need a new home if it wants to come out and play.

Glad you found another favorite, American steel is over looked a lot of times.
It runs right up there with the best of them in my book.
Cheers and happy shaving! It is just Whisker Whacking
Relax and Enjoy!

Thanked: 43The Geneva will likely give you satisfaction but I would not recomend that you do not send the Henckels to a new home until you have thoroughly tested the Geneva.
The Henckels is, in my opinion, a better than average quality razor capable of giving a better than average shave.
I hope you have a lot of fun with the Geneva.

Thanked: 4Indeed!
This blade does not seem to have seen much action in the last century.
Scales and pins look original are like new.
The Henckels is a very nice blade but, even after 30 years, I never really got attached to it.
In a way, I'd rather pass it on to someone who really desire one and would appreciate it quality.Last edited by Horsehide; 03-21-2014 at 03:10 PM.
