There are two different pairs of razors that, while they didn't KILL my RAD, certainly changed it to a very different gear.
The Biennais 'Purple Monkey' razors from the Napoleonic officer's set was the first.
The second was the Green & Pickslay razors made with rhodium/iridium alloy, and scrimshawed with a family name.
I'd been really hoping they were the pair Charles Pickslay gave to Michael Faraday (which Faraday then gave to John Wilson Croker), but I can't find a trail from Croker to the owner. I can, however, trace Mr. Archbald's progeny across the Atlantic and to within about 100 miles of where I bought them from. So there's that. The fact that Archbald was a writer is a big cherry on top for me (as a writer).

I only have two left on my "Must Have Before I Die" list. An NOS DD Lifetime and a tamahagane Iwasaki western style. I like to keep my expectations realistic :D

I don't think I've seen a RAD killer. The problem with getting a great razor is that you then keep thinking what else is there out there that's as good or even better. My RAD slowed down when I got north of 120 razors. Realising that you're rarely going to get to shave with each one is a real bummer.

I've identified several along my journey in this sport.
After I acquired them, some new razor always popped up that I just had to have.
The Snake by Livi was one of those, but even that just lasted about a fortnight before I was eager checking the Fed-Ex site with my next tracking number:)

Is this a trick question?

Thought i'd just got it a Fenney Tally Ho in reasonable shape and in my price range,it had several scratch's and i thought just been cleaned with some paper, turns out the blade is soft as butter and wont hold an edge so the search continues

My first japanese western. Defintiely not a RAD killer, but after using it a few times I realized that I don't need 50ish razors. I've since scaled down greatly and really only look for 'special' razors now. I still have on my 'must try' list a fili and a puma. I keep looking for decent ones that won't break the bank but have been unsuccessful thus far. I've never even seen a Palmera for sale :(

Mine (probably temporarily) was the last one, a Boker Silver steel extra hollow 6/8...but it wasn't because of the razor, it was because when I unwrapped it, my wife asked if I was planning on buying as many razors as I had guns. Made me think....
