Default What razor was a RAD killer for you?

What did you buy that ceased your desire to hunt and search and purchase more and more, even if only one or two razors a year? What did you buy that finally quenched that RAD urge???

Buying a specific razor didn't stop it. Realizing I have more to work through (restore) than I have time for did it. When I get through them, I will buy again.

A RAD Killer doesn't exist, IMO, I'm only slowed by the green stuff in my wallet.

Several western Iwasakis, and the realization that a razor is a razor and the looks will not make it a better shaver.
I 'd still definitely would jump on something that grabs my eye though.

I'm with Splashone here. When I looked in the drawer and saw a good dozen or so blades that needed attention I pretty much stopped looking to buy. Not that I'm averse to peeking into the odd antique store now and then...

Another thing was realizing that the handful of razors I have in regular rotation work really, really well. In other words, I feel no need to chase a 'better' blade. And then there was realizing that I had a bunch of other stored as well... I think it might be time to thin the herd one of these days.

My one exception to this: as soon as I have access to a forge again, I'll be like a pig in muck pursuing my next blade - but I'll be forging that one, and I don't think that counts.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
