Thread: Some razors suprize you

Last year I was able to get a C-M0n the Cadillac razor from a friend and really believe the blade had not been honed. I have put off honing this razor because of it's size. It is a 5/8 square point and clear scales. beautiful blade. all the gold on the tang just like it was new. I didn't hone it because of its size. I usually prefer the larger and heaver blades. barbers notch and with a smile. so yesterday I got all my hones and spray bottle and went to work. when I finished I could hold up a long blonde hair from the wifes brush and clip it anywhere I wanted to. last night after my shower I got the sample shaving cream that SRD sent me when I ordered from them and began my normal prep. to begin with I couldn't believe the lather I got and the little amount of cream I used. just great. when I began with the razor it cut the beard almost as if it wasn't there. this turned out to be a really nice shave with a nice handling razor. just goes to show sometimes small tools do big jobs just fine. Oh yes the razor is stainless and it honed nicely.
