    Default Why didn't this one get picked up?

    This little dubl duck dwarf looked pretty good. I was wondering why nobody bid on it.

    That would be a bear to get shave ready. The hone wear is visible when you can see areas of the spine running parallel to the face of the blade that is flattened and uneven. That blade is warn into the hollow of the blade and is probably to far gone even for a regrind.

    Keep looking and your going to find the right razor.

    Ok. Here is a picture with this razor you found next to a good one, wear on spine is ok. but not this much and if you get one with wear make sure the wear is even. The effect with that type of wear that you just showed is that there is a very very smal chance it will hone up to shave ready.

    Could be the excessive hone wear on the spine.

    Hey bobtail - not sure what you're in the market for, but there are several straights in the classifieds right now for under $50. Almost always a much safer bet that eBay. If you're not in the market ignore what I said

    I like a smiling blade, but don't like one with a frown...you'd lose some width on that blade to get it nice and straight.
