Your question is borderline valuation of this package and here valuation is not allowed. Before you purchase this set, however, consider some important element:
The overall shape of the razors; their shave readiness; the type of brush; the type of soap; the width and quality of the strop; and so on.
Dovo is a good brand, so I'm sure the kit is of good quality. Just comes down to what your preferences are.
I can see what you mean about it being borderline. I just wanted to know what other people would do in my situation; buy or pass. I find it a good deal and if everything looks legit/newish I'm gonna buy it. I wish I could find this kit for sale somewhere and do a little homework; perhaps it is too old and no longer sold in this fashion.
Dovos will shave well. Two brand-new. Dovo prima rindleder strops are great. It's brush, Some styptic. A stainless bowl. One would have to have the razors in-hand to evaluate, JMO

I agree. Try to get him to go down a bit. Ask him what his bottom dollar is or what is the least he is willing to part with it. You never know, he might come down on it for you. It is a nice set plus considering all in the set plus brand new. Make him an offer.Quote:

I am not commenting on this set per say, more how I would rationalize whether or not I purchased it.
My thoughts are buy it and sell off anything I don't want. What probably will happen is I'll get greedy and keep it all. I think I'm certain to purchase if the price is right and everything checks out. The guy is gonna think I'm so weird when I pull out a loupe to examine the blades ::rofl::
