I found it somewhat difficult to get a picture to show the relief well. I bought this on eBay to try my hand at honing.

I am definitely a Boker fan and if this were my razor, I would send it to mycarver.com . I am sure he could salvage those scales with joinery and a thin liner. The blade restoration should be a piece of cake for him. Give it some thought............:chapeau
I have seen scales of similar design numerous times over the years. They are out there somewhere waiting to be found.
Jerry is right. They're out there. I've seen numerous razors on the bay with scales very close to that & the razors went cheap. You could probably pick up one of those old razors & use the scales off it. I was lucky enough to get one without broken scales.
Yes, for vintage carved ivory or pressed horn with rare design, I'd be thinking of using a liner, but certainly not for a cheap piece of molded plastic that could be found on ebay for $10 with a moderate effort.
Also Boker made plenty of razors and this one isn't one of their rare models, so before I spend any significant money on it I'd try to get one in excellent condition instead - restoration is either for saving money (spending the time and effort instead) or if the razor is very hard to find in great condition.
Check With mycarver. He did a fix on what I'll call lace scales and you could barely tell, looked perfect.
Once again another fine member of this community stepped in. I am still sanding and polishing. I have an idea what it will look like when its done.
