ok I need help I found a Carl monkhouse Jr. at an antque store now my question is carl and c-mon the one and the same the guy at the store kept calling it a c-mon?

The C-Mon company was owned (and named for) Carl Monkhouse, Sr.
When the company was in Germany - in the 1920s and 30s - Peter J. Michels was the exclusive US distributor.

Monkhouse came to the US in 1937, and re-started the C-Mon company near Pittsburgh, PA. The company was later operated by his son, Carl Jr., who died in 2000. The C-Mon company still exists.
The Peter J. Michels company went out of business in 1955.

All of C-Mon scissors and razors marked as made in Germany are from 1937 or earlier. There is little historical information on this company's operations in Germany, and neither the scissors nor the original packaging generally have any date marked on them, so there is really no way to pinpoint the exact year that your scissors were produced, but it would be sometime between 1920 and 1937.

Like the glut of all German razors in the 1920 and 1930s a deal had been made infer the Dawes Act thar would allow German razors into the USA duty free that's why a lot of German razors flooded the States in those years. The steel on all those blades os probably Krupp steel who a lot of fine German steel for there war machine

Sorry about the poor writing but I'm a monkhouse freak ans recently heard this. Probably monkhouse and some others became enemies to the regime and got out when the getting was good

I have a PJM Spear #10. Are spears made by Carl Monkhouse like Cmons but were sold under the PJM name?
