Thread: my first restoration

well this is my first restoration completed,

The blade came from AFDavis11 and is a Genco 'Henry X', from the 'Geneva NY' company.

The handle wood is Meranti, the pivot pin is made from brass tube with an internal silver pin and the end 'wedge' spacer is a piece of silver shaped and silver pinned in place.

the wood has been treated with a linseed/ poppy oil and wax mixture of my own then polished.

I made my self a convex doming tool to round the pins into place and that seems to have worked nicely on the pivot

this is a gift for a friend who gave me my Straight Razor and strop for Christmas, so what do you think Gents?
