Default Best grind for thick beard

What is the best bring for thick beard? I shaved with old king cutter square point this weekend and got a great shave. I think it was a full hollow. My every day razor is a dovo best quaility round point not sure of grind. It does give me a good shave. So with this said this is why I am posting this question.

My guess, would be any grind so long as it is shave ready sharp. The rest would be personal preference.

Wedge is preferred, acts like a plow.

Any grind, any size will give you equally good shaves no matter what type of beard you have. It's just a matter of preference.

+1. Any grind will work fine. Wedges are great as are hollows. I personally sold all my wedges! I like a hollow and the ease of honing. Wedges once theyre set up are fine though.

I used to think a heavier grind worked better for multi day growth. I've since come to re-think that oppinion as I have some full and extra hollows that do great no matter what the growth amount is. I too have a beard where the hairs themselves are very thick and slow growing but my beard density isn't particularly high.

When I used DE blades though I had to be careful what I used as really only the Feather, Astra and Personna blades were sharp enough to shave me comfortably without any tugging.
