Thankyou for the feedback! Its definitely a beautiful piece! I am very keen to have it all cleaned up and have a shave with it! I have a few cut throats but this one will never be put up for sale. It has my grandfathers initials engraved into scales and that just adds to the sentimental value ontop of its dollar value already! It is in really great shape, id almost be tempeted to give it a few strokes on the pasted strop and give it a test shave but ill hone it first and bring it back to top notch shave ready! Thankyou guys again for the feedback
I used to have a High Class like that but thinned the herd. Still have a few Pumas. As previously noted, they are top of the heap from back then.
If you are going to hone it, not an issue, but if you want to have the honing done, check out the 'Down Under' forum. There are quite a few members from Australia. Maybe someone in your neck of the woods.
Beautiful razor. I have a Dorko that's very similar. Seems that Dorko's and Pumas are starting to fall in price which is nice. They will eventually go back up but they are amazing shavers. Get it honed up and enjoy it.
Had one very similar, it was a great shaver. Congrats on getting a family piece.
A friend is restoring for me a razor like this. I can wait to shave whit it.
