Help with info for J. Hoppe 55 Brokat Straight Razor

So I found this razor, It says $ J. Hoppe 55 Brokat Solingen Germany

I've never seen a J Hoppe. I've seen Guillermo Hoppe and Eugenio Hoppe razors. It looks to have had very little use. Get it honed and shave with it.

I found some info the other night on Strazors.com under Hoppe. There was a J Hoppe for Julius Hoppe as a maker. It was also a German made steel.

:) hehehe I have yet to meet a woman who will shave with a straight razor.. Oh I have tried to convince them. My wife just looks at me with an incredulous look and says yeah right. I think this young woman is selling her grandfathers collection. Some of them look very nice. My RAD has been a bit bad lately so Ill be taking a break.
