    Default Scottish Razor Co.

    Afternoon everyone,

I just came across this brand

Scottish Razor Co. (The Scottish Razor Co. | Custom made straight razors)

I have been searching razors for a while as I want to get a new blade in addition to my current 5/8 Boker. I considered getting a 7/8 Theirs issued blade but then came across this. What do you think of it? and which would you recommend

Please take your time in your response

    Much appreciated gents!

I just peeked in on the site & at first I thought it was a razor made in Scotland but it is here in Atlanta, GA. His razor's only have a Scottish Terrier's head on them with no makers mark or anything else but since he is starting from home, maybe he will get better in the future as time goes. From his reviews, people seem to be happy so far. Hopefully he will get enough business to have a shop.
He apparently named his company, which is home based after his dog which has terminal brain cancer (so sad), so he is an animal lover.
BTW, I am in no way bashing this guy, he's just starting out & is an animal lover & I love my dog too. I am against animal cruelty also. So far his razors look good so we will see how it goes. I'm curious to see if anyone on here buys one of his razors & lets us know how good it is. If I gave anyone the wrong impression, I apologize it was taken wrong & I edited my post to make it clear I am in no way trying to do any harm here.

Looks like decent razors, for a decent price. We will need more reviews I think...

His name is Stephen and he is on Etsy as well. For a fair price, you can assist in every step of the process of your custom "prototype" razor.
Out comes a custom razor (with possible minor "custom" issues, but he will take care of you) and he gets experiece in crafting.
For the cost, it's an affordable gamble. Talk to him, he's very pleasant. I have yet to make the leap. I've always come across something else, that puts me off from getting one.

I favor tried and true German brands. JMPP.

Lol. He is new. I told him he would be better off hanging around here. A wealth of knowledge and friendly people. I wasn't sure about this razor co. But figured maybe someone here has reviewed them

Thank you for sorting me out. I would hate to have been responsible for chasing him away. I do think my point was valid in general but glad that it was wrong in this case.

I am very happy to see your second post!!!

This place is a great resource for information, but it is populated by flawed people like me. Have you gotten a razor yet?
