Default Wolstenholm / Wade and Butcher Combo

Picked up two razors today on a trade. I traded a Boker that I previously purchased for $5.00 and an Engels that I got for $15.00 for these. The Boker needed some minor restoration work, and I put a shaving edge back on it. The Engels was in better condition, and I honed it as well. I didn't really like the way the Engels shaved, as I've become more fond of wedge razors and Sheffields in general. So I traded two razors that set me back $20.00 for this W&B and GW razor. The way I see it, I got to hone two razors (Boker and Engels) and get better at my honing skills, so that I could trade up for two classic razors that need some love to get shave ready, and will be much more valuable to me.

GW's in particular have become a favorite of mine. The Wade and Butcher is a new brand in my collection. Both razors need some general cleaning/polishing, and the GW has a minor issue at the toe that has me a tiny bit concerned. Seems to be a small flaw at the tip of the toe. I hope I can get around it. Both have obvious hone wear, which I don't think (or at least hope) won't affect my ability to get both shave ready.

Hone wear is one thing, but uneven hone wear and huge bevel on wedges is a totally different thing. If your not familiar with honing wedges read up on the subject, Good Luck!
