It certainly looks like HC Trenery never made razors, but he could have sold them. The censuses from 1881 to 1901 have him as a nut and bolt manufacturer. He left 4572 pounds 12s 6d when he died, which was a considerable sum at that time.

It's a pity we can't see any lists of the people who worked for Trenery; if any of them were cutlers it would be a strong indicator of razor manufacture. Alas, that sort of data is hard to come by.
