Inherited Bartmann Razor

Hi All,

1stly apologies if I have posted this in the wrong thread by mistake...

I was hoping for some guidance on an inherited Bartmann 30 Straight razor that I have.

I am looking to sell it and was hoping you guys might be able to give me an idea on what kind of price I should put it up for?

It has a box and is in good condition (I think, in my ignorance in this field)

I would really appreciate any time that you spend on replying to this post.

Valuations aren't allowed on this site per the forum rules. Have you considered hanging on to your heirloom and learning to shave with it yourself?

It's a beautiful razor in what looks like pristine condition. If you inherited it I would keep it and use it. What a thrill to shave with a razor your ancestor shaved with. If you sell it the money will be spent and you will have nothing to show for it. The razor is part of your family history. You can't put a price on that.

I have to say, I would KILL to have an heirloom razor from my grandfather, (the last member of my fam to shave with a straight). Hell... I'd even like to have an old DE from one of them. anything to keep me in touch with that part of my family history. Please, take the time to learn how to shave with it, and hold on to it. That is an object with NO $ value, something that you can NEVER replace.

Hi, welcome to SRP. As has been mentioned, we don't do appraisals here on SRP. Bartmann is a great name in Solingen razors and that one looks to be in nice condition. I'd suggest you go to ebay and do a search for 'Bartmann razor'. Go to completed items (menu on the left of the screen after initiating the search) and you'll see what the actual market is bringing currently. I'm closing this thread.
