The Dovo bergischer Lowe sure is pretty. I think you can pick up a nice Revisor or Wacker in 7/8 to 8/8 for that kind of money.
I do want a Mastro Livi but want it custom to my exact wants when I can afford it. He has quoted me on it already but I'd have to sell a rifle to get it right now. Haha
Razors in the $200-$300 range the answer is simple.......I can't afford one!
Well. I can't afford one not need one but I'm putting away a bit each week to buy a nice new razor. I have some great vintage ones and used ones. My favorite is my ralf aust I purchased from a member on here. It's great. Thinking about a 6/8 size now as all of mine are 5/8. No big deal but I have the itch.
I bought this one when it was on sale, and I like it a lot! It wasn't that much cheaper on sale,
so don't be disappointed.

I would avoid thiers issard, myself and many others have been disappointed in their quality control. For $300 I'd look for a really nice vintage razor, like a wade and butcher for barbers use. If it has to be a new one, then revisor. I don't have one but have looked quite a few times. Unfortunately I went on a splurge of late, buying a few iwasakis and a bruno custom wootz so I'm living on peanut butter and jelly and Ramen for a while!
Portland Razor Co.
Brian Brown Razor Works has several beauties. I also think that Portland Razor Co. makes a nice razor for that price.

Another good choice is Jerry Stark.
Both Brian Brown and Jerry Stark offerings are solid razors made by genuine craftsmen; you can't go wrong either way. Nice thing is they are custom/semi custom goods so you have many choices as to how to set it up "your" way.
