Thanked: 18Butch Harner
Just saw one in the sotd thread. I have a few of his kitchen knives. Very nice fit and finish and good grind. Profile is excellent and love the carpenter stainless.
How is his razors. Had a look a while ago and prices were surprising.

The only razor of his that I've shaved with was excellent. No reason to doubt that all of his productions would be similar.

I had a couple of them in the past. One damascus and one of ball bearing steel. I forget the designation. Good stuff. I'd get one of his with wooden scales though. The damascus had his titanium scales with the wood inlays. They were nice but left the razor unbalanced as they were much heavier than the blade.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I think he makes outstanding razors. I have a smiley stainless steel razor that is one of my best shavers and is a joy to use. Fortunately, I picked it up before his prices went through the roof. I just picked up a kamisori style razor for a good price from another member, and like it as well. I've been tempted to purchase a kitchen knife, and just might have to after reading your review.

His grinds and metal work are freaky awesome..
I got a Damascus blade made special for me, the thinnest Butch has ever ground and will ever grind "His Words"
I did my own scales for it and love the razor..
