Trying to zero in on a mfg. date
I recently purchased a Henckels 10072 1/2 straight razor with an illing (one man) logo.
I saw a site about a 10072 Henckles razor, but I don't know Russian.
I'm guessing that I'm looking at a date somewhere between 1895 and 1904.
Can anybody here translate for me from: žпасная б€и‚ва Henckels | С‚а€ая опасная б€и‚ва

Many thanks.

I plugged the text into an online translation program and got the following::

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but what on earth makes you think that this Henckels razor with the 10072 model number was made sometime between 1895 and 1904?
There is no "10072" in the text you quoted, and in any case these are the numbers of various trademarks that Henckels registered, not razor model numbers.
From what I remember so far from previous discussions (some of which included quotes from correspondence with Henckels), the 10072 model was most likely produced sometime between the 1950's and 1968.
That would also fit the style of the (plastic) scales that look anything but 1895-1904 to me.
The 50's and 60's were also the years when Henckels reduced the number of twins on some products to a single twin, calling them sometimes "illing" after removing the "Zw" from "Zwilling" (twin).
Your guess is as good as mine, but as I said before, I believe this could have been to identify a Henckels economy (carbon steel) razor range.
I don't mind at all being proven wrong on the time frame when this razor was produced, but I seriously doubt I will.
