Review of Frans Ukraine Straight Razor

I need to make a responsible disclosure here. I purchased these razors and I have no
interest in Frans Razors, not financial, or in any other capability. I just want to share
my interest in these razors.

“Frans Straight Razor’s – Like many here I was intrigued by the precision, range and styling of Ukraine straight razor maker Frans. I was really taken by the Raven and the
Tallinn and decided to order them. The Raven is a 6/8 01 steel square point scaled in red acrylic.

When the Raven arrived the presentation was very well done. The boxes for these razors
is very professional and carries the razor’s design theme very well and fastens with a magnate. The razor was exactly as presented to SRP in the thread Frans established to show off his inventory and design capability. The razor is very well balanced, comfortable in the hand, tight and centered perfectly. The edge was precise and even. The comfort in the hand extended to stropping and no compromise of the grip was necessary leaving all my concentration solely on the stropping.

With my favorite shave cream, Castle Forbes Sandalwood, the shave was excellent with this half hollow blade. Perfectly sharp and very comfortable and smooth against my skin. And, at 70 years of age, my skin takes some effort to shave properly. Only a few strokes were necessary across the grain to complete the shave.

I understand my Tallinn has shipped and I am looking forward to it’s arrival.”
