    Default Any idea of this manufacturer?

    I cant quite make it out, I'm betting it will show up better on your computers than on my phone or in my hand with my failing eyesight.

    Its a nice blade, with the ever popular double cutouts. the tail is somewhere between stub and "modern" as if 1840 was modern!

    Found another pretty much identical but still difficult to make out, looks like the last 5 letters are a-n-t-e-r followed with a crown.

    I thought I still had an Instanter but I may have sold it. Here is an image from the internet of another one, this has the same stamping mine did. It wasn't quite a crown on that one, more of a symbol that looked a bit like an H. I don't think I had collected any information on the maker.

    I've had this one for a few years now and been working on cleaning it up a little at a time. Seems like it's been my "back burner" project for quite some time. One of these days all in good time...

    That is crazy-old stuff, man! What? 1830's?

    These things got melted-down and rusted to mother earth a lot through the years.

    To see some have survived is really nice!

    I'm rather fond of the oldies myself. But I will admit to parting with this particular one soon after I posted about it. Guy had missed out on one of my auctions, and I felt bad for him, so offered it up at what I thought was a bargain price. As I have said elsewhere, and will say again I'm sure, "There is always another razor out there somewhere!"
