Default Looking for information an Rheingold Silver Steel straight razors?

    Hi all,

I recently bought a Rheingold silver steel straight razor off ebay.

It's in good shape, but now I am looking for any historic information on this razor?

    any help?

    Please the pictures below.

Picture are always very very help full. A full razor view with the blade open and a close up of the stamps on the tang front and back and the odds of accurate info is increased greatly.
Geezer, MattCB and mkr like this.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

If a search for "Rheingold +Rasiermesser" does not yield any meaningful results (it does not), and if you cannot find anything here, here, or here - you're on your own.

Looks like a decent razor, albeit not a Solingen one (because of the missing "Made in Solingen" stamp). Too bad someone's given it a once-over with some low grit abrasive.
