Help dating and identifying symbol on old Joseph Elliot

Finally it was not all cloudy and rainy so I could take some outside pictures. I bought this razor about a month ago. It's a not like the other Joseph Elliots I have in my collection. There is a symbol on the tang that looks like a hammer. Also i'm not 100% sure that it reads Elliot because the E looks a little like a R. But it does have the ɔc's and the Maltese cross. It's a stubtail with carved scales unfortunately one side is cracked and missing a piece. But its still a beauty. Why is it stamped with a hammer and not just the normal trademark?

I've read that already and it didn't help much

Purely looking at the blade and scales and the tang markings, the razor dates from 1821 to 1854.

Interesting razor for sure, seems like everybody is clear that this is a Joseph Elliot razor, but all the Joseph Elliot razor ive seen and even very early ones were marked with Joseph and not J. Elliot. There was definitely others Elliot during that time period that made razors. Not to mention that hammer mark as well.

The hammer reminds me of Johnsons mark. Most commonly seen with seven stars. However that still does not explain that razor at all. It is most curious indeed.
