"John Elliot & Bro" Razor

Hello,

I just got my first straight razor from whippeddog.com. It reads "John Elliot & Bro - Made in Germany". I'm trying to get a ballpark date for when it was made.

I have discovered some information about Joseph Elliot. There is some speculation that a John Elliot (who worked joined with Joseph at one point) could have been his brother. Is it possible that what I have here was made by the same John Elliot affiliated with Joseph's company? Or is this a different company?

Thanks for any replies. I'd love to learn the history behind this shaver.
