I have a large spanish oak cigar humidor i use for the larger part of my collection...the nlades i rarely dare to use...
The box is covered in burl and laquered on the outside...shuts closed prety nice...almost air tight...and holds around 40 razors or so with boxes...the spanish oak is great an keeping the insde dry and i aded a 1 pound bag of silica gell in there for safety reasons...
I doo check on them once every 2 months and alpy balistol on the blades.
Although most have bakelite scales or modern plastics....a few have celuluid scales and the thaught of cell rott in an air tight box gives me nightmares sometimes.
:)
So Spanish oak humidor...silica gel and balistol once every 2-3 months has kept my blades safe for @6 years.

Aloha!
I had thought about converting one of my cigar humidors (probably my walnut case) to razor storage, but I don;t like to seal them in an airtight case. Still, it's an idea that is not without merit.

Mine live all over my office (and there are more in the workshop).

The the main bulk of the ones I care about are in these two sets it drawers. The one on top is a wooden toolbox from Harbor Freight, the one on the bottom is an early 1900's machinist's cabinet.

The HF toolbox is jammed to the gills. The machinists cabinet still has plenty of room. :D (I need to line the drawers though, and possibly make racks).
I also have an 1880's Lawyer's bookcase I use to display some of the fancier stuff as well as other neat ephemera.

Then there's my project boxes. A taste:

I can quickly find anything that I can remember that I have. Somewhere around 250, I stopped being able to keep a coherent mental inventory though.

Mine are stored in Cigar boxes but I am looking at investing in some proper handmade wooden boxes.

It only makes sense that when a collection reaches an inconvenient size, that a real attempt at suitable storage must be made. My tiny collection is spread across three different "spots". My wife was kind enough to give me a small shelf in a bathroom cabinet for my "shaving stuff", and then I have my daily razors staged near my tooth-brush, and my spares in the gun closet with the rest of my sharp things.
I'll say this, you gentlemen certainly are organized.

in a couple of shaving mugs(Old Spice) in my gun safe, no oil, only the dehumidifier for the safe, no muss no fuss, no curious hands to touch. plus wont get burned up in a fire so we have money , jewelry, important documents ,weapons, and most importantly I can still shave in the burned ruins T c
