    Default More Truffit's

I have a 7 day set of Truefitt's in a Crocodile skin box.
No wedges on these and one of the scales has a piece missing (Ivory), although clear of the pivot hole . I'm thinking on how to proceed with that but firstly im concentrating on looking after the Croc skin
The dates elude me and there is patent numbers on each blade .
Seems like a nice piece of history .

    Hi! Very nice indeed!
Regarding the croc skin, would neatsfoot oil be ok?
As neatsfoot oil I believe is mostly used for leather.
I could be wrong but test on a small part of it where it’s not seen.
All the best & hope it works out.
    Again, very nice [emoji6][emoji1360]

I was looking at an this site https://leathermilk.com/cleaning-con...xotic-leather/

From what I've read you have to be careful because the Croc skin has a sheen. Some parts need gluing also. I'm a bit hesitant to use CA .
Either way finding time to do these things is some thing to consider too .
    Cheers

I was told not to clean the croc. I haven't and have noticed zero deterioration. I was told not to keep in the light which, I do. So who knows. I think the skins breakdown regardless of treatment. As long as it's not overly harsh, should last for, well decades as this set is close to 100 years old now.
