Default Need help identifying my razor!!

Hey folks, an EXTREME beginner here. I've been given a fairly old straight razed, and want to find out more info about it. I can't seem to find it online and was hoping someone could help me out on this forum!

On the cover it says "Edelstahl Solingen", while on the blade itself it says "FACHARBEIT SOLINGEN". Lastly on the back it says "made in Germany".

    Thoughts anyone?

    Edelstahl means Stainless Steel
Solingen is a City in Germany where it was made.
I believe the Facharbeit Solingen means something like made in Solingen with skilled labor.
Im sure a German speaker will come along and clarify.

Hi Dan. Welcome to SRP. Some pictures would help us to tell you more about your razor.

Another beginner here. I joined this forum 20 minutes ago. My daily shaver is a modern Dovo, but I'm getting into collecting older blades. As such, I recently acquired a blade I need help identifying. It is stamped union cutlery company olean New York. I found a good bit of information about the company. I know they eventually became kabar. My question is with the model. The scales say wedge. I have seen similar blades that say Spike. My question is are the scales correct to the blade?

Additional information, the blade itself is not a wedge profile. It's hollow. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. As has already been said, pictures would help a great deal.

That said usually you can't go far wrong with a Solingen blade.

    Good luck.
