When I purchased my TI used I noticed that the blade edge was uneven. I thought that it was due to the previous owners attemp at sharpening it. The edge was in bad shape. You certainly couldn’t shave with it. After sharpening the edge is still a bit wonky, but it shaves really well.

I'm not clear if you are referring to the edge or the bevel.
Yikes, sorry. Bevel-uneven. The kids were running around, wife speaking, blah, blah....chaos.... the usual  :banghead:
Not unusual for modern TI. Maybe their motto should be 'ugly grinds, great shaves. Give us your money - and a lot of it!'

Lol, not that serious Oz. Overall I think they're ground better than Dovos.

I have been using a TI for several years. It is not one of the high end razors - plain black plastic scales and no decorative spine work. That razor has held it’s edge with only stropping and the occasional refresh on CrOx. I purchased it from a local online vendor who hones every razor he sells before delivery unless you request otherwise, so I have no idea what the bevel and edge looked like when it came from the factory. All I know is that it looks good, has a nice even bevel and shaves well.
