BTW, I believe almost all straight razors went for well below $100 before wet shaving caught on, historical or well-scaled razors may be an exception.

Filarmonicas are mass produced Solingen razors. Which means they are good razors. Nothing more, nothing less.
For the record, the razor in the image above is a bog standard #13 Solingen blade with a silly gold wash. It shaves. Because #13, and rock solid grinders.
