Damn!! I would like to apologize to @johnmrson.. I did not realize this razor was on B/S/T.. I have purchased a LeGrelot from him in the past and the razor was in great shape, shave ready, fair priced and was as advertised.. I have sold a number of razors/items through B/S/T and I would not want to see other members talking potential buyers not to purchase in a open forum setting.. My bad and it won't happen again.. Thnx, Scott
I suppose we should not discuss things in the BST much.
After-all. There is a thread there to discuss them?
True, but I think we walked the line just fine. More a discussion of size, than the specific blade for sale.
:tu
For what it's worth, German "wedges" tend to be quarter hollow. Most 42 models are 4/8 quarter hollows, although there are a few 5/8-s.
They shave just as nice as larger razors, if you don't mind rinsing your blade more often and don't have to shave around facial hair (I tend to get lather on my fingers and in tje pivot area for most razors under 5/8 due to my lambchops).
Yeah, I did over exaggerate that with an opening of Damn!!. lol. Nothing crossing the line in any of our posts. It just felt a little weird on my end reading back so just wanted to throw a quick.. little apology if needed
Lather bombs. Good one Mike. I have that issue a lot. Just having too much fun to rince. A very keen 4/8 razor with slice thru the whiskers like any other razor. Its just got to be rinced more. I got a bunch of 4/8 and smaller.
Just woke up now lol. Wow I wasn't expecting so many responses to this. Thanks guys! Yeah I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this one. I'll still use my 6/8 Bonsa the most since I shaved my beard off already. But when I grow my beard out again, a wedge should be nice to have around.
I had a look at this link before posting but wasn't able to find this brand: Razor makers
So when it comes to wedges, is there a difference in the shave feel between a small wedge like this and a bigger one? (assuming both have just been honed)
To me, I have to have a good grip and concentrate more on the shaving angle.
Other than that, sharp is sharp.
I concur 100% with sharptonn...
