Hi,
Having quit shaving with a straight razor after my razor broke , I decided to take it up again.

So I go to the only shop that I know that sells straight razors and I buy myself a new Tuckmar razor for 55Euros (ca. 70$).

Seeing the level of expertise in this forum I would like to ask a few questions.

1. Does anyone know if Tuckmar still make straight razors? All my searches ended up with scissors or vintage razors. Is it possible that someone like DOVO makes them for them?

2. Are they any good?

3. The razor I bought has a stainless steel blade which looks of good quality. It has "Eis härtung" stamped on it and the tang has Solingen and Stainless steel engraved. I will upload a pic later. Was it a major fault that I bought a stainless steel blade? My understanding is they take a lot more work to hone but hold their edge better. What I am worried about is will I be able to get them as sharp as a carbon steel blade?

4. I want to buy a couple more razors. Do you know of a place in Europe to buy some NEW entry level (as in no fancy designs etc but good quality) razors for a good price? Would you suggest a carbon blade or a stainless steel one?(see also question no.3)

Thanks a lot in advance
