Favorite Straight Razor
I am curious what everyone's favorite straight razor is. This does not have to be the fanciest, most rare or expensive. Just the one that brings you the most joy for whatever reason.
Of all that I have and have tried, Riga/Aust/Koraat/Wacker/and a few others, I have to say my favorite is the Koraat 14. The craftsmanship is excellent! Feel in the hand and shave it provides are fantastic. This is the one I use the most and performs wonderfully!

My favorite changes often. Some days i will pick one up and say to myself "this was a great shaver" but to say a favorite above all the rest? I dont know.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 110Sometimes you just have to shake your head at things.. This being one. I swear I was going to post this exact same question the other day! I guess great minds do think alike Robini
.. Though im not sure anyone would want to enter the Abyss between my ears
... And to add to it my favorite razor?.. Yep, my Koraat 14.2 in blue scales! Lol.. So ill go a little off course and go with my razor that is like my favorite pair of worn in Levis accompanied with a 100% cotton perfectly worn in pull over sweatshirt... The kind of thing that isnt pretty, not pricey but damn do they feel great everytime!! With that I go to my CV Heljestrand LePrince... Great post Robini and hope to see a lot action on this.. Scott W

Thanked: 4830I have quite a few very nice razors. Some are quite rare, others are quite old. The ones that often make me smile and choose them over others is because of who I got them from more than how well they shave. Don’t get me wrong, some razors do shave a little better than others, and the shave is important, but the smile it brings to my face when I think through the details is sometimes what makes me favour this razor or that.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanks for all the input! I know we all have many razors which we like for one reason or another. I guess a better way to phrase the question is if you had to choose and could only keep ONE (stay with me), which would it be?

Thanked: 135Pearl King
Mostly sentimental; a gift from my father back in the 80's when I first showed interest in shaving with a straight. Fairly sure he got it and some others from a flea market.
It is a great shaver though.
