Robert Klaas brand
Any thoughts or opinions on these razors? Found one for sale and it doesn’t look bad.

Thanked: 3228Robert Klass goes way back in the history of razor making in Germany. I have one stamped Prussia. IIRC it shaves very well.

Sounds like something you should snag up to help get the RAD started. I bet you dont even have 10 razors yet. Come on man. Get with the RAD program.

Thanked: 4830Their razors are well regarded and I’ve always wanted one, so if it is in good condition, and you like the price, I have to wonder what is stopping you.

Thanked: 4830The gold wash will come off fairly easily. There is some tarnish near the edge that needs to be closely looked at to see if it is something that will effect its ability to take and hold an edge. If the price is low enough it could be worth the gamble. It may be simple tarnish and it may be much deeper.

As of right now, I have zero. Thought I was done with straights, gave my 3 away to family and friends, along with my “starter strop.” I found I missed it, so here I am starting from scratch except I do still have my (minimal) honing kit minus the leather strop. I ordered a cheap razor off Amazon this morning (you know what brand) for a net cost to me of $2.00
I had some reward points I cashed in for answering surveys, so I basically paid sales tax plus a little bit. At least I can practice honing.
