First TI Shave - now I get it...
OK, I shaved for the first time this morning with a 7/8 TI with Olivewood scales that I had picked up second hand a while back and sent to Joe Chandler for repair due to a cracked scale at the pivot pin.
The scales had so much left over room, that Joe was able to saw off the top half inch, reposition the blade down, and it still closes (with room to spare) and misses the third pin when opened - good grief! Joe did a great job, highly recommended and cheap as hell. Still amazed. The gold wash on the Wolf and Sheep was(is) rather pitiful, and the makers mark is light and cheesy, but...
I had him sharpen it while he was at it - and OH MY - now I get what all the fuss is about...Quiet and amazingly good shave. I only wish I had waited for the weekend when I could have really enjoyed this razor. The fit and finish aside (I am seriously considering MAASing off that damn Wolf and Sheep) - this is some amazing razor...
FYI.
