Default Help me identify my razor

I bought a razor from an antique shop.

It says National Barber College New York, Made in Germany 88 and there is a logo of an H above a bell surrounded by a dashed oval.

The scales are a high gloss yellow, I'm not sure of the material. There is some fine brass design work around the pins.

The blade is very shiny and looks like stainless steel.

    Thanks.

Some pictures might help. Do you have a camera?

    Thanks Blade,

I have a camera, but not too tech savy --I will try to figure out, so hopefully a picture will be coming soon.

Yep! that's a Nat'l Barber College Razor. I couldn't resist the sarcasm... So many names and so many different blades with Germany stamped on it. Some German Blades are great. Some US blades are great. Some Japanese blades are great. But every razor is what it is. Some are good shavers and some look like good shavers. Hone it up, try it out, and if it gets you a good shave.... call it a day.
